Badin: Sindh Minister for Agriculture Mohammad Ismail Rahu stated that the affectees of the ongoing anti-encroachment drive in the province will be resettled on government land, according to a news source.

He also added that the operation’s functionaries have been asked not to damage the houses built along canal dykes any further till relevant court orders are issued. Rahu also revealed that he had offered the affectees his land in Rahuki for resettlement while paying them a visit earlier. He also assured them that the Sindh government would support their resettlement efforts fully.
Rahu revealed that he had already asked the deputy commissioner of Badin to find suitable land near the town to resettle the affectees of the anti-encroachment drive. There would be no further demolition activity along the dykes until such land is found, as per court order.

In addition, the people affected by this drive received tents and other relief goods after Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah instructed the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to assist displaced people in Badin, Larkana, Sukkur, and other districts of Sindh.
