The provincial government has collaborated with the European Union (EU) for this poverty alleviation and rural development project. EU is funding the initiative under its Sindh Union Council & Community Economic Strengthening Support (SUCCESS) programme.
The authorities concerned recently organised a workshop on the programme in a bid to engage key stakeholders. The government plans to set up a pilot rural growth centre in Sujawal district.
The rural growth centre is a point within a cluster of villages that provides goods and services to its own population as well as the surrounding areas. This approach leads to low unit cost and high economies of scale.
