Karachi: The Sindh government has allotted land for the installation of a Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) pipeline project in Malir, Jamshoro and Thatta districts of the province, a news source reported. The decision was made in a meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Moreover, the session also rejected the proposal for using re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) in the province. The cabinet also declared 20 districts in Sindh to be ‘calamity-hit’ in the aftermath of heavy rain spells in order to provide better relief to these districts.

Another point on the agenda of the meeting pertained to wheat issue and the government decided to release wheat to the flour mills between October 15 and 20. It was also decided that the price will be fixed by the 10th of the next month.
