Gujranwala: The 91-kilometre long Lahore-Sialkot Motorway is to have three-metre-wide service lanes on both sides of the road, reported a news source. For acquisition of 700 kanals of land in District Kamonki, the authority concerned has also issued Section 4 notification.
Before issuing Section 4 notification, the assistance commissioners of six districts falling on the route had a detailed look at the project’s feasibility report. About 100 kanals of land will be acquired in Kotli Kirpa Ram, over 88 kanals in Sheettay Veeran, 537 kanals in Kotli Pakki. For land acquisition, land owners will be paid accordingly.
