Gujranwala: The master plan for the provision of sewerage, water supply, road projects and other civic facilities in Sialkot has been prepared, a news source quoted Gujranwala Commissioner Waqas Ali Mehmood. The PKR 9 billion master plan is jointly prepared by the Government of Punjab and Asian Development Bank.

Presiding over a meeting held on September 19, the Gujranwala commissioner announced that the projects planned in this master plan will be completed in collaboration with international funding organisations under long-term development plans. The meeting was attended by important officials from Gujranwala and Sialkot.

The commissioner appreciated the master plan formed in accordance with the city’s needs during the next 50 years. He also expressed hope that the planned projects will fix long-standing sewerage and water supply issues in the city. For this purpose, the survey to identify land has also been completed. Commissioner Mehmood instructed the officials concerned to formulate a similar plan for Gujranwala.
