Sialkot: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce President Zahid Latif Malik that Sialkot business community has decided to relaunch the city development project by themselves, a news source reported. He explained that after placing a self-imposed tax of 0.25% on their exports, the business community will fund the city development project itself.
He stated that in 1999 as well, the business community had begun the city development project after imposing a tax of 0.25% on its exports. The matching grant from provincial and federal governments had made the funds balloon to PKR 1 billion, which had then been used to construct international standard roads in the city. Under the project, head bridges and underpasses will also be constructed with the roads.
