Islamabad: A Senate subcommittee directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to make all shops at the Parliament Lodges functional, stated a news report. This has been taken up by the subcommittee of the Senate House Committee to facilitate the lawmakers who reside here.
The committee was informed by the CDA officials that they recently vacated the shops from the encroachers who had been running them even after their leases expired. The CDA was directed to get all relevant details of the shops at the next meeting. The CDA Chairman also directed the Parliament Lodges Director to look into the issue of overbilling.
