Karachi: According to a news report, a container vessel from the UAE, MS Tiger, has arrived at Gwadar Port. This is the first vessel to arrive here, and marks the beginning of a long trade connection between Gwadar Port and UAE.
This new ship container service, Karachi Gwadar Gulf Express, will be a connection between Gwadar Port and UAE’ Abu Dhabi and Sharjah ports. To ensure the smooth functionality of this project, Pakistan Navy has raised ‘Task Force 88’ to protect Gwadar Port and its surrounding areas. This Task Force will provide defence against seaward approaches and various other merchant vessels.
