Gwadar: A ship-breaking yard at Mouza Kaapr in Gwadar, following its completion, will create 5,000 jobs for the country’s youth, according to Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal.
She was talking to reporters during a visit to Turbat and Gwadar. She said that this project will usher in a new era of socioeconomic development. She added that the people of Balochistan will get the jobs on a priority basis.

The minister said that Gwadar is all set to become a focal point for traders. She stressed on the federal and provincial governments’ commitment to developing the port city.
Moreover, she informed that the local fishermen would be facilitated. She added that the government is taking all necessary steps to complete the uplift projects as per schedule.

Minister Jalal further informed that Saudi Arabia had recently announced to set up a mega oil refinery in Gwadar. She said that several vocational and technical training institutes were being established in Balochistan.
