Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that wholesale markets will be permissible to relocate to the Lahore Ring Road to address parking and encroachment issues in major markets, as reported by a news source on May 24.

According to the details, this decision follows concerns from industrialists about law and order, particularly between Rohi Nala and Kasur, including accidents on Hall Road. Punjab CM has directed immediate action on these issues and urged the implementation of proposed solutions.

Additionally, she has mandated a revamp of boards in industrial organizations like PIEDMC and FIEDMC to ensure competent governance. Upcoming infrastructure projects in Lahore, including Rs 100 billion investments in sewerage and road construction post-monsoon, and an e-bike policy were also unveiled. Financial aid of Rs 150,000 for small farmers was announced to support agriculture.
