Karachi: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed the Sindh High Court (SHC) to address the issues of those affected by Lyari Expressway (LEW) project within three months, according to a news source. A resident of Liaquatabad, who complained that he did not get the promised amount of compensation, filed the petition.
An apex court bench, headed by Justice Mushir Alam, was told that the authorities concerned were using delay tactics when it came to compensating the affected people. Hearing the case, Alam directed the SHC to ensure that the compensation amount was paid within three months.
