KARACHI: A division bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday has given a ruling that Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) and City District Government Karachi (CDGK) should take action against illegal constructions raised on leased plots or any encroachment on public property.
The bench, comprising Chief Justice Musheer Alam and Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Razvi, was hearing a constitutional petition filed by the residents of Korangi Township against illegal plotting on the site of 200 feet wide road between sector 33-F and 32-A of the township.
The petitioners Tajuddin and others, in their petition stated that some groups of land grabbers in connivance with CDGK officials, have encroached the land, sanctioned for road in layout plan of Korangi Township and started construction on it.
The bench directed CDGK to file layout plan to ascertain the encroachments on the road site.
