Shangla: The government is committed to developing areas affected by militancy and it will utilise a major chunk of funds to promote tourism in the region, a news source quoted Malakand Commissioner Riaz Mehsood.

He was addressing a khuli kutcheri in Bisham on Thursday. Shangla Deputy Commissioner Fayaz Sherpao and DPO Syed Rasool were also present at the occasion.
The commissioner listened to the grievances of the people who complained that water supply lines were yet to be fixed in the area. They said that the authorities concerned have stopped repairing the grid station.

In response, Commissioner Riaz Mehsood directed the officials concerned to resolve the issues affecting the citizens on an immediate basis. He also ordered the setting up of a patwarkhana in Ranyal.
