Karachi: The Karachi Adminsitrator Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, on Wednesday, announced the establishment of a field force for the repair and patchwork of roads in Karachi – a news source reported on November 26.

Shallwani made the announcement after reviewing maintenance work of flyovers and roads in various parts of Karachi. He stated that the field force will work to repair the roads and make them motorable. Moreover, trucks with material to road repairs along with labourers would also be on standby round the clock so they could provide timely backup to the field force.

The administrator also added that more roads will also be constructed Annual Development Programme. He announced that the expansion joints of Gharibabad flyover, Liaquatabad flyover, Jauhar Morr Shaheed Major Adeel flyover have already been replaced, while the joints for other flyovers are being replaced now.
