Lahore: In order to ensure that ongoing development projects in the city do not damage existing infrastructure, Lahore Commissioner Abdullah Khan Sumbal has instructed all agencies, departments, and organisations involved in these projects to consult with the Safe City Authority (SFA), reported a news source. This will also keep the fibre optic cables laid for security and monitoring purpose from suffering damage.
Currently, many development projects are underway in Lahore. In this regard, better coordination among different departments engaged for these project is important for the successful implementation of the development schemes.
Addressing a meeting, Sumbal said that a committee will look into the suggestions put forth by departments engaged in development schemes. The committee will visit the site to inspect the damage done during digging done in the absence of guidance given by SFA.
