Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has vowed that the ten special economic zones (SEZs) to be established in various regions of the country will change the fate of the nation and its people — a news source reported. He added that SEZs to be established in Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur will improve the economic conditions of these areas.

The CM said that Punjab would soon transform into a hub for trade and economic activities due to the recent steps taken by the provincial government. He added that the state wanted to provide the best facilities to its citizens and that comprehensive development work was being conducted around the country to achieve this goal.

In related news, the CM also chaired a meeting to review matters relating to the maintenance and operational contract of the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT). The meeting additionally considered proposals for the fare to be charged for the train, and final approvals will be made during a meeting of the Punjab Cabinet. CM Buzdar took this opportunity to urge the officials concerned to make the OLMT project operational as soon as possible.
