Lower Dir: Town Municipal Authority (TMA) has demolished various illegaly constructed structures on state land in Timergara, reported a news source. The authority also registered FIRs against 28 shop owners running businesses on state land.

In this operation targeted against encroachers in Timergara, TMA staff used heavy machinery to demolish the illegal structures. To avoid any resistance, the operation was carried out in the presence of police and levies forces.

TMA Officer Pervaiz Akhtar and Lower Dir assistant commissioner lead the operation. The operation targeted the encroachments set up in Gori Chowk and Sabzi Mandi.
Commenting on the operation, the assistant commissioner said that indiscriminate operation against encroachers will continue in the district. He said that encroachers have been causing problems for pedestrians. Encroachments on roadsides are also responsible for constant traffic jams, he added.
The authorities concerned have also pledged that they will not allow any kind of encroachment activities in Timergara.
