Rawalpindi: At least seven properties have been approved for commercialisation by District Planning and Design Committee (DPDC), a news source reported. Commissioner Jodat Ayaz chaired the DPDC session.
DPDC went through 12 cases presented to the committee for commercialisation, out of which it accorded approval to seven and deferred five on various grounds. It sought land records of the five properties from Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMA).
The approved properties are Haveli Marquee Gujar Khan, Kazmi LPG cylinder store on GT Road and five petrol pumps on Chak Baili Khan Road, Bhatta Road, Gujar Khan, and Kotli Sattiyan.
The commercialisation process aims to facilitate the masses, besides providing a proper business environment to traders. The authorities concerned have been directed to effectively monitor the operations of the new business ventures in the district.
Moreover, RDA and RMA would present their reports on the land records of five properties in the next DPDC session.
