Lahore: Seven companies have submitted their expressions of interest (EOI) for seeing to the drafting of the Lahore Master Plan 2050 — with a joint meeting of the Consultant Selection Committee and the Terms of Reference (TORs) Committee chaired by Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar expected to review each proposal, a news source reported on August 3.

The said companies include the Country Developers Consortium; Euro Consultant, Pakistan; Shehersaz Private Limited; Asian Consultants; Meinhardt Pakistan; Pluto Planning, Turkey; and NESPAK Consultants.
The committee will have two weeks to review the submissions made by these companies, after which it will issue request for proposals (RFPs) to the firms that pre-qualify for final selection. These companies will then submit their technical and financial bids, after which the successful bidder will be selected to execute the project.

Reportedly, the LDA had invited the EOIs earlier this month with a view to relaunch development work on the Lahore Master Plan 2050, after it had been put on hold for a few months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
