Gwadar: The Parliamentary Committee on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in collaboration with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Pakistan (FES) on Monday organized a one day seminar titled as “Gwadar Development and the Growth of Blue Economy in Pakistan”, a news source reported.

The event, which took place at the Pak-China Business Center in Gwadar was attended by members of various institutions, including the National and Provincial assemblies, Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), civil and district administration officials, as well as students and faculty members of different universities.
Gwadar was termed as a pivot point for the concept of CPEC by the chief guest, Mr Sher Ali Arbab. He stated that the people of Gwadar need to play a vital role in the progress of CPEC and expressed that the completion would lead to change in the lives of the people and for the better.

FES Senior Programme Coordinator Hamayun Khan thanked FES Pakistan for its contribution for the social development in the country. Furthermore, he stated that the regional dialogue will aid in a better assessment for the stakeholders in terms of what the people of Pakistan want and need and how CPEC can aid in the betterment of their lives.
