Gujranwala: The developers of 50 private housing schemes have sold residential plots to the general public without having an NOC issued by the Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA), reported a news source. The developers have also sold the amenity plots for parks, mosques, and graveyards.
Reportedly, this has also created financial losses worth millions for GDA, as approximately 10,000 plots have been sold in these societies. In addition, these schemes lack basic facilities as the utility providers including Gujranwala Electric Supply Company have denied the provision of electricity connections to the societies not having a GDA NOC.
