Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has decided to sell selected commercial properties to overseas Pakistanis, reported a news source. Initially, a total of 100 high-valued commercial properties will be offered on sale.

In this regard, the federal cabinet has directed a seven-member committee to identify these properties. This group will be headed by Defence Minister. For marketing these property units, Privatisation Commission will prepare a special advertisement package. As instructed by the cabinet, the marketing package will only target overseas Pakistanis.

To remove hurdentive-on-remittances-surveles blocking the smooth transfer of commercial properties, the committee will make the necessary arrangements. These will have to be carefully worked out in order to avoid future complications, the federal cabinet clarified.

The decision to sell commercially valuable properties to overseas Pakistanis has, reportedly, been taken to generate revenue.
