Gujranwala: In view of possible floods, the Flood Control Authority has divided flood classification into five degrees for flood efforts, according to a news report. Instructions have also been issued to the Irrigation department to improve the safety measures on the bank of Chenab.
In view of the heavy rains, vacations of the relevant staff has been cancelled and they are being assigned duties in shifts. Different departments have begun conducting surveys under the directions of the Punjab government, their aim is to ensure that loss of human life and property is minimal in case of flood.
