Reportedly, Deputy Commissioner Sardar Mohammad Asif headed a committee that was formed prior to the award announcement. This committee enlisted Assistant Commissioner Sadar Second Tehsil Saniya Hamid Pasha and HVC Naseer Olakh from the district administration. They joined hands to work diligently to establish a clear and unbiased property award process.
Recent actions in Sector C-13, specifically in Shah Allah Ditta, revealed unauthorized buildings. This led to a careful review of the situation and a list of supposed affected people was created, totalling 2,800 names. However, further investigations showed that many of these names were fake and unauthorized. It was found that out of the initial 759 illegal structures mentioned, only 112 were in line with legal specifications.
It was discovered that people who weren’t truly impacted by the action were added to the list of affectees, including those whose properties were taken due to encroachments.
Under the guidance of the Capital Development Authority’s member estate, DC Sardar Mohammad Asif set strict rules to ensure only genuinely affected properties get the property built-up award. After this careful assessment, 328 people qualified for the ‘A’ category plots, 108 for ‘B’, and 186 for ‘C’ in Sector C-13.

In total, a comprehensive document review identified 644 individuals as legitimate recipients of the award, whereas 2,156 names were excluded due to their fraudulent claims. According to a CDA spokesperson, this comprehensive process highlights their commitment to transparently award properties, while also addressing encroachments and unauthorized constructions in Sector C-13, thereby ensuring an equitable and just outcome.
