WASA had finalised its plans with regard to the construction of water treatment plants at six sites in Lahore in March 2018. The areas identified for setting up these plants include Mehmood Booti, Shadbagh, Shahdara, Babu Sabu, Mohlanwal, and Ferozepur Road.
