Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqat Cheema highlighted the issue of solid waste and construction debris being dumped into the nullah and its tributaries. According to a notification issued, Cheema stated that this practice is posing a serious threat to public health and the natural ecosystem. The waste dumped into the nullah causes blockages and hinders the natural flow of water. Imposing Section 144 will be an immediate remedy to this problem and restrictions are crucial to prevent danger to human health and life in the district, he added.
