Faisalabad: The Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha has said that the second phase of water supply project worth PKR 14 billion is set to begin soon, according to a news report. The commissioner appreciated the help of French authorities in the regard. He was meeting a delegation headed by the French Development Bank Team Task Leader Gwenola Michel.
He said that as a result of the second phase of the water supply project the residents of Faisalabad will get an additional 30 Million Gallons per Day (MGD). During the first phase, costing PKR 6 billion, Punjab government was able to provide 15 MGD to Faisalabad’s residents, with French help.
Agha also thanked the French government and bank for a soft loan of EUR 95 million for the second phase.
