Karachi: The Judicial Water Commission has given factory owners two months to establish water treatment plants in their facilities, barring which, the factories will be sealed, a news source reported. The commission also instructed relevant Station House Officers (SHOs) to present in court the factory owners who had not answered commission’s summons.
According to details, the court was hearing a case on the sewerage issues around the province. The commission instructed Port Qasim authorities to take necessary measures for water treatment plants within the next two months. The port authorities told the commission that tenders have been issued for the places where sewerage line is yet to be laid.
