Sargodha: The Sargodha Development Authority (SDA) has asked the Model Town housing scheme allottees to clear their dues by October 31, or face allotment cancellations – according to news sources. SDA Chairman Mumtaz Akhtar Kahloon expressed his view on the matter during a meeting on Wednesday.
He directed the officials concerned to recover the dues in a bid to facilitate the completion of the development work in the society. He added that defaulters would face plot cancellations and their plots will be auctioned off at the present market values.

The meeting decided unanimously that notices will be served to these allottees, and after the expiration of the warning period, the legal course will be pursued.

In an earlier development, the SDA had approved PKR 75.1 million budget for the city enhancement in the tax year 2019-90. The chairman of SDA revealed that a master plan for the city was also in the works, and that Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) will soon be set up in Sargodha.
