Cholistan: The schedule for the 18th edition of the Cholistan Jeep Rally has been released to attract tourists from around the world, news sources reported on January 30.

The six-day event will be held from February 6 to February 12th in Fort Abbas, Bahawalnagar. As per the sources, the 500-kilometre-long racing event is being organised by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) and will feature the display of powerful vehicles from around 100 participants around the country. The 18th Cholistan Jeep Rally will also feature jeep rally as well as dirt bikes that will pass through Dingarh Fort, Marrot Fort, Khan Garh Fort, Bhijnot Fort, Moujgarh Fort and Jamgarh Fort of the areas. In addition, the following events will be held:
● On February 9, a series of cultural events, including horse and camel dances, Kabaddi, and tug of war, will be held at Qila Jamgarh in Fort Abbas
● on February 10, participants will demonstrate their driving abilities and compete for cash prizes
● Display of local culture and folklore

It is important to note that the Jeep Rally is one of the constant features of Punjab’s tourism industry with thousands of people participating in the event. This rally covers three districts of Punjab, including Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur. It is categorized into three different categories i-e Stock, Prepared and Women. Stock and Prepared categories are further divided into 4 sub-categories (A, B, C, D).
