Peshawar: The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) President Faiz Mohammad Faizi has stressed consistency in economic policies and pursuing consultations with the business community, a news source reported. He said that these measures are essential for implementing reforms in the tax system.

The SCCI president expressed these remarks during his meeting with a delegation of the National Management College Lahore. He added that the business community had urged the government to involve investors in the formulation of economic policies, in order to bring Pakistan out of its economic crisis. He opined that consultations with the business community will not only boost trade and industry, but help improve exports too.
Faizi also stated that that both the federal and provincial governments need to involve the business community and the chambers in the formulation of economic policies to produce favourable results. He said that businessmen will be able to reap maximum benefits if the government adopts effective policies.

The executive can only boost industries, and business & trade activities if there is stability in its economic policies, along with controlling the power crises, Faizi added. He further stressed that the government needs to promote economic activities at regional levels, and introduce reforms under a public-private partnership basis.
