Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has formed an oversight committee chaired by a serving apex court judge to supervise the development of a housing scheme for the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) at Park Road in Islamabad, a news source reported.

The FGEHA’s executive board decided at its 13th meeting that the SCBA would assist the authority in addressing land-related issues, including litigation cases pending in various courts. Furthermore, the plan will be implemented in stages, with the first phase consisting of acquiring 4100 kanals of land in Mauza Mohrian.
The SCBA will help the FGEHA in obtaining 4100 Kanal land in Mauza Mohrian, as well as land for the development of a 150-foot-wide access road from Mauza Tamma, while the FGEHA will complete the development work. This land will be reserved for the SCBA members.

Furthermore, the 4100 kanal land will be acquired through two mechanisms: price considerations or a land-sharing formula, with the development charges borne by the allottee. Furthermore, out of the total plots in the society’s phase 1, 250 will be allotted to federal government employees, which will be compensated to the SCBA in later phases of the scheme.
