Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Thursday instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to share a report regarding its proposed changes to the Islamabad Master Plan with the court, a news source reported. The order came from a three-member bench while it heard a case pertaining to the encroachments in Bani Gala.

About the Islamabad Master Plan, which is currently in the making, the court directed the government to take short-term initiatives to remove encroachments and prepare a feasible master plan or the federal capital. The court adjourned the hearing for one week.

The CDA plans to set up an online facility for citizens for taking up their suggestions with regard to the redrafting of the Islamabad master plan. Moreover, the civic body has decided to share its updates concerning the revisions in the master plan with the public through the portal.
