Islamabad: Hearing a suo moto case about delimitation of Banigala Botanical Garden, a two-judge Supreme Court (SC) bench on Thursday (December 10) directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to determine the area of private land around the garden, according to a new source.
The bench comprised Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah. During the hearing, the court was apprised that a total of 583 acres of land was allotted for the botanical garden development. In addition to directing the CDA to determine the area of private land, the apex court asked the development authority to submit a report containing geographical images and Google Maps of said facility.

The court further ordered the CDA to submit a report on the old and new maps of Banigala Botanical Garden. The bench adjourned the hearing for one month.
