Karachi: The Supreme Court-mandated commission on water and sanitation in Sindh has ordered the reopening of a hydrant in Baldia Town on a weekly basis, a news source reported. This will be done under the supervision of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh.
Retired Justice Amir Hani Muslim stated that the closed Baldia hydrant needs to be reopened because of unavailability of water due to decrease of water levels at Hub Dam. He also said that all stakeholders agreed that PKR 1,000 would be charged instead of PKR 1,200 for a tanker.
The hydrant would operate for 12 hours once a week.
