Islamabad: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued orders for specified banks to provide an ‘excellent’ user experience and facilities to Roshan Digital Account holders and prospective customers, according to a news source published today (September 10).

As per the SBP’s official release, the accounts will enable non-resident Pakistanis to avail online banking facility, utility bills and tuition fee payment, domestic funds transfer, round-the-clock currency conversion services, investments in government bills such as Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs), stock exchange, and the real estate sector ‘with the option of full repatriation’.

The state bank has assured that the chosen banks shall endeavour to offer a seamless and exceptional digital experience to their customers via mobile apps, web portals and other digital channels. The banks shall also ensure strict security measures to preserve the Roshan Digital Account holders’ data.
