Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has decided to demolish 19 housing societies, their booking offices, and illegal portions of several buildings in the province for breaching bylaws, according to a news source. The Supreme Court of Pakistan issued directives on May 25, placing a complete ban on the construction of buildings comprising more than two storeys on residential plots.
The SBCA’s drive to demolish unauthorized portions of several buildings constructed on residential plots in various housing societies is to begin soon. The orders were issued by the authority’s Director General Agha Maqsood Abbas on August 6.
