Karachi: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Director General Zafar Ahsan has instructed the directors of all town locations in the city to share a report on the action being taken against the structures being constructed in violation of building bylaws within 48 hours, a news source reported. He particularly asked for details on the enforced demolitions of the extra floors that had been built on several existing structures.

The SBCA DG also mentioned that strict action would be taken against the officials found involved in facilitating illegal construction activities within the city.
Reportedly, the development authorities in the city are currently busy in razing several identified illegal buildings and property portions, and have removed the rubble from their construction sites.

Earlier, the SBCA DG had directed the officials concerned to launch a drive against buildings and structures being constructed against their approved map design, the DG issued special instructions for demolishing all illegal structures in Liaqatabad Town.
