Karachi: Sindh Building Control Authority has sealed 21 buildings that were being constructed illegally in Jamshed Town on instructions of Water Commission, reported a news source. To ensure that construction work on these sites doesn’t resume in the future, the concerned police stations have also been informed in writing.
SBCA Director General Iftikhar Ahmed Kaimkhani has said that developers of illegal commercial buildings are responsible for ruining the city’s infrastructure and the practice will be abolished. Reportedly, the sealed units were being constructed without having their maps formally approved and NOC granted. In addition, marketing of these buildings was also being carried out.
