Karachi: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Managing Director (MD) Zubair Channa has pleaded the citizens of Karachi to use dustbins instead of littering drains, a news source reported on February 4. The MD made the request while speaking to media during a meeting held with a delegation representing various Chinese companies.
Channa said that littering of drains chokes the water flow and cause urban flooding. He further stated that citizens’ cooperation is crucial in order to address the issue. He also directed his officials to make a strategy in collaboration with the Chinese firms to keep the drains clear. The MD further said that only collective efforts is the way forward.
