Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) on Wednesday introduced pre-approved residential building plans for construction on plots of four different sizes, a news source reported. Using these plans, people will receive permission in five days to start construction on plots of 60 square yards, 80 square yards, 120 square yards, and 240 square yards.

The pre-approved residential building plans from SBCA will remove the need for an architect – saving the money and time of applicants. For each plots size, SBCA has provided three options of plans featuring ground plus two buildings. The plans are available for download on the authority’s official website and a set of six copies will cost PKR 600.

The applicants will submit the chosen designs online, followed by SBCA verifying the status of the plot from the land owning agency and then approving the plan. On the other hand, the authority has also outlined some conditions for the pre-approved designs, including the validity of the permission granted for the construction of the houses. Interested applicants can contact the authority to learn more about these conditions.
