As per the details, the SHC has also ordered the SBCA to file criminal prosecution against owners or developers of such buildings, get rid of illegal constructions, take action against involved licensed inspecting engineers, architects and other officials for permitting such constructions.
Reportedly, the court also asked for the record of approval for construction granted by the SBCA in 2019. The authority’s deputy director filed a compliance report about the illegal constructions in Nazimabad, stating that the four-storey building was being illegally constructed against the approval granted for ground-plus-one-floor structures. He went on to say that the fourth floor of the said building has been razed and the utility agencies were asked to disconnect the connections. Criminal prosecution was also filed against the builder.

After examining the compliance report and documents, the two-bench judge mentioned that permission for raising the construction was granted to Syed Mehboob Hashmi in 2019 who was reported to have passed away in 1989. The bench ordered the deputy director to submit a case file of the approval and progress of the action taken against the violation.
