Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has established a Rain Emergency Centre to tackle the issue of dilapidated buildings that might be endangered by the rain – a news source reported.
The staff has been instructed to remain on duty around the clock after the seasonal rains begin. The people residing in dilapidated buildings have been cautioned to temporarily vacate the premises to ensure that no untoward incident happens due to the rain.

All these steps have been taken in view of the forecast by the meteorological department about monsoon rains. It was in view of the same that SBCA Director General Zafar Ahsan directed the creation of the emergency centre. Additionally, the technical staff of all the two sections have been instructed to work at all hours in 3 shifts, with the schedules already issued for this purpose.
