A meeting chaired by Commissioner Iftikhar Shalwani was held at the Commissioner’s Officer to review the situation, and the additional steps required to comply with Supreme Court orders for the removal of all dangerously dilapidated buildings in the city.
The SBCA Chief briefed the meeting about the ongoing evacuation efforts, as well as the work done to demolish dangerous and illegal buildings. He further informed the meeting that the SBCA had conducted a survey to identify all the buildings that needed to be demolished, and now that the survey had been completed, the work on razing these structures could finally be initiated.
