Karachi: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) demolished various illegally constructed structures including flats and portions in buildings and sealed various units, report a news source. The demolition drive is part of the campaign authority launched against illegal construction activities in the city.
During the same operation, the SCBA also revoked the Standard Garden’s, a private-public cell project in Gulshan-e-Kaneez Fatima, NOC for advertisements on accounts of breaching building bylaws. In addition to that, the authority also issued order for further proceedings against the project while it also warned public against investing there.
On orders of the SBCA Director General Iftikhar Ali Qaimkhani, the demolition squad raised several structures in PECHS, Jamshaid Town, Mehmoodabad, Gulberg Town, Federal B Area, Liaqatabad, Nazimabad, Lyari Town, Bahar Colony, Saddar Town, Clifton, Gulshan-e-Maymar, North Nazimabad and Shah Faisal Colony.
To ensure a smooth operation, the SBCA was accompanied by the SBCA Police Force.
