This decision was revealed during a meeting to review the details of illegal constructions in Karachi, under the chairmanship of Additional Director General SBCA Ashkaar Dawar. During the session, it was found that the highest number of illegal constructions were uncovered in Liaquatabad Town, located in Liaquatabad and Nazimabad.
The meeting observed several cases in which commercial buildings were developed over residential plots of 60, 80 and 120 sq yds. The SBCA teams were directed to demolish the structures violating the law at the earliest opportunity.

He further stated that Local Government Minister Nasir Shah and Chief Secretary Mumtaz Ali Shah would be following the demolition process on a regular basis.
In addition, the SBCA will also be launching an operation against marriage halls illegally developed in the vicinity of North Nazimabad Town and Federal B Area.
