Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) on Tuesday decided to demolish an unsafe and illegal four-storey building located in Karachi’s Korangi Town, a news source reported. The building allegedly became damaged during the collapse of another residential building in Allahwalla Town last week.

During its visit to the area, the SBCA’s technical team declared the four-storey building as dangerous. The officials said that a portion of the building situated next to the structure had collapsed earlier and was badly damaged. They decided that it was no longer suitable for living.
As per the sources, the district administration has already evacuated the building and manual demolition is expected to take place in the next 10 to 12 days — with the process starting on Tuesday (today).
