Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has declared four more buildings to be ‘dangerous’ in Gulbahar 400 Quarters in Liaqatabad Town, a news source reported. Following the announcement, the authority has issued notices to the owners concerned.

On directions of SBCA Director General (DG) Dr Naseem Al Ghani, a committee of construction and engineering experts conducted a survey in Gulbahar 400 Quarters. During this survey, the committee declared the buildings to be ‘dangerous’ and ‘not fit’ for residential purpose. These constructions are built on:
- Plot 95/2
- Plot 115/1
- Plot 1628
- Plot 984/4
The SBCA has also issued notices to the residents of these buildings in order to prevent human and financial losses. In this regard, the officials concerned have requested assistance from the local police and district administration to carry out a peaceful vacating process.

Previously, the SBCA had also declared another building on plot 61/1 in Gulbahar 400 Quarters as dangerous since it was leaning to one side. The demolition squad is currently bringing down the structure while taking all required safety measures.
On the other hand, SBCA has appealed to the public to report buildings or structures that are dangerous or in dilapidated condition in order to protect human lives.
