Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) conducted an operation against illegal construction in the city to seal and demolish a number of buildings – a news source reported.
The demolition squad of SBCA had launched the operation on the directions of SBCA Director General Zafar Ahsan.
Teams of demolition squads took action against illegal building in PIB Colony, Gulberg Town, Federal B Area, Korangi, and Saddar Town. Various other buildings were also sealed in these areas. A building where the owner agreed to remove the illegal construction was left unharmed after agreement.

The operation was overseen by relevant deputy and assistant directors of the areas. The demolition officers were also a part of the operation. Additionally, police officers also assisted the SBCA staff to avoid any untoward situation.
SBCA and other local authorities have been conducting operations against illegal buildings and encroachments around the city since the beginning of the year.
