Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has instructed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority to take measures to ensure initiation of development work on Swabi Bypass right away, reported a news source. The bypass is deemed crucial for assisting traffic flow of heavy vehicles and reducing traffic load in Swabi.
As Swabi is home Gadoon Industrial Estate in Swabi, which houses hundreds of industries, regular movement of heavy traffic for transporting goods to and from these industries takes place. In the absence of a bypass, traffic movement suffers greatly and it causes troubles for the residents of Swabi.
The Swabi Bypass will start from Naro Banda near Jahangira and end at Bam Khel in Shahbaz Banda. The two-way road will have a length of 10.6 kilometres and it will cost PKR 2.16 billion.
